G7: We Support Israel and Iran Must Not Acquire Nuclear Weapons

The (G7) Leaders have called for an end to the ongoing Israel-Iran war and affirmed that Israel has the right to defend itself.

In a joint statement issued on 17 June 2025, the G7 countries urged a resolution to the crisis in the Middle East following the recent escalation between Israel and Iran.

They reaffirmed their support for Israel's security and emphasized its legitimate right to defend itself.

The statement cited Iran as the main source of regional destabilization and terrorism, and stated that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

The G7 comprises the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Japan, and holds its summit once a year to discuss global issues.

This year, the leaders of the European Union, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, Ukraine and South Korea were invited to participate in the summit.
