Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said there is a direct link between Israel's actions in Syria and the SDF's postponement of fulfilling the March 10 agreement, expressing hope that all issues between the SDF and the Syrian government will be resolved through dialogue.

In an interview with Al Jazeera, Fidan stated that there is a direct connection between Israel's actions in Syria and the SDF's failure to implement the March 10 agreement: “The Syrian Democratic Forces will reach an agreement with the Syrian government on the day Israel reaches an understanding with Syria.”

Fidan added that the March 10 agreement was an important step toward finding a lasting solution, and that all parties, including Turkey, the US, and Syria, were initially content with the deal.

According to Fidan, the SDF has not yet taken steps to implement the agreement. The Turkish foreign minister also expressed hope that the problems between the SDF and the Syrian government can be resolved through dialogue.

Fidan emphasized that Turkey rejects the outbreak of a new war in northern Syria, warning that civilians would bear the highest cost, and said: “If the SDF adheres to the agreement, there is a great opportunity for genuine national unity in Syria.”
