U.S. Central Command Announces Completion of Ninth Consecutive Night of Strikes on Iran

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the completion of its ninth consecutive night of military strikes against Iran. In a statement issued on Monday, July 20, CENTCOM said the latest wave of operations concluded at 10:00 p.m.

Eastern Time on July 19, targeting Iranian military command centers, air defense positions, coastal surveillance sites, naval capabilities, missile and drone launch platforms, and communications networks.

The command said the strikes were intended to further degrade Iran's ability to attack commercial shipping and civilian mariners transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM reaffirmed that the U.S. military continues to carry out the Commander-in-Chief's directives, adding that its forces remain on maximum alert, highly focused, and fully combat-ready.

The statement was accompanied by a video that CENTCOM said shows precision strikes carried out during the ninth night of operations against Iranian military targets.
