Appointment of Temporary Executive Office for Hasaka Governorate Council

On Sunday, July 19, 2026, the Syrian Ministry of Local Administration and Environment issued a decision appointing the members of the temporary Executive Office of the Hasaka Governorate Council, stating that any decisions or actions that conflict with this decision must be revoked.

The decision appoints Ahmad Suleiman Mansour as Deputy Head of the Executive Office, along with nine other members.

The decision states that the temporary Executive Office shall assume the powers and responsibilities of the Governorate Council and its Executive Office, as stipulated in the Local Administration Law, until new elections are held.

The appointments come within the framework of the integration process between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), following the January 29, 2026, agreement on integrating all military and civilian institutions into the structure of the Syrian state.
